For over 10 years, The Cooperage Project has served as a community hub centered around building a vibrant, engaged, and interwoven community by paying attention to what makes our region unique and continuously looking for innovative ways to create a place where everyone can belong. Their mission to embrace diversity and celebrate shared experience is the true constant, guiding The Cooperage into its second decade.

This past year alone, some of The Cooperage program highlights include:
  • A free monthly Senior Meal Program -- where they've prepared, served, and delivered over 1,600 meals, averaging over 225 meals each month.
  • Pop-Up Club, a free after school STEM-focused club for middle schoolers, that is now offered to students in THREE school districts (7 clubs per week!).
  • A new program, Girl Wonder, an in-school program for middle school girls that fosters female empowerment at a critical time of development
  • Plus, new faces walked through their red doors to join in on a range of educational and social activities that weave the fabric of our community: programs like Farmer to Farmer networking events, Pride gatherings, and targeted programming for young families with ‘pandemic babies

Now with your support....The Cooperage moves toward 2023 with even more community-driven programs on the horizon -- like a new mobile farmers market which aims to connect rural residents with their local food system by bringing seasonal produce and local products right to their doorsteps, reducing barriers to access. Additionally, The Cooperage will be expanding to a second building, which will become a dedicated youth program space, where even more opportunities for kids and their families will be provided.

Will you help us continue our work to build a strong community?
